David Ross hitting eighth, starting behind the plate for Cubs
Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross is starting and batting eighth in Game 4 of the National League Divisional Series on Tuesday versus the San Francisco Giants.
Aside from John Lackey being on the mound, this is the same lineup manager Joe Maddon used in Game 1 when Jon Lester earned a 1-0 victory. On the brink of elimination, the Giants are turning to southpaw Matt Moore on the mound.
At 35.5 percent, the Cubs have the best odds of winning the World Series, based on numberFire's metrics. Conversely, the Giants are given just 3.4 percent chances of finishing the season as MLB champions.
