Nationals' Wilson Ramos to undergo ACL, meniscus procedure Friday
Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos is scheduled to undergo surgery for ACL and meniscus tears in his right knee on Friday.
Ramos is looking at seven months of rehab, meaning he will not be ready for the beginning of the 2017 season. The 29-year-old impending unrestricted free agent suffered the injury on September 26 while leaping up for a high throw.
Ramos had a stellar year from the dish, slashing .307/.354/.496 with a career-best .361 wOBA through 523 plate appearances. He tallied 22 home runs and 80 RBI's on the year, both of which also represent career-highs.
