Blue Jays' Francisco Liriano (concussion) expects to be ready by Saturday
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Francisco Liriano is free of concussion symptoms, and expects to be activated on Saturday.
The Blue Jays removed Liriano from their ALDS roster when he took a line drive in the head in Friday's ALDS Game 2 win over the Texas Rangers. He hasn't made his way through the concussion protocol yet, but he looks to be on track to return as soon as he is eligible, in time for Game 2 of the ALCS.
In 10 starts with the Blue Jays in the regular season, Liriano posted a 3.34 ERA, but he had a down year overall. His 4.69 ERA was his worst since 2012 while his 4.38 SIERA was his worst since 2011.
