Blue Jays to start Marco Estrada for ALCS Game 1
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marco Estrada will get the nod for the ALCS Game 1 against the Cleveland Indians, according to Jays' manager John Gibbons.
Estrada had a terrific showing in the ALDS, firing 8 1/3 of one-run ball against the Texas Rangers, and he's the only starter the Blue Jays have announced for the ALCS so far.
Estrada turned in a 3.48 ERA in the regular season, though it was accompanied by a rough 4.35 SIERA. His 22.8 percent strikeout rate was his best since 2013, but his 9.0 percent walk rate was his worst since 2010.
