Washington's Stephen Strasburg cuts bullpen session short
Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg (elbow) had his Monday bullpen session cut short when he began to experience discomfort.
Strasburg made it most of the way through his 35 scheduled pitches, but this is a bad sign for his availability for the remainder of the playoffs.
During the 2016 regular season, Strasburg posted a 3.60 ERA and 3.19 SIERA in 147 2/3 innings, while his 30.6 percent strikeout rate was his best since his 2010 rookie campaign.
