Los Angeles Angels right field Kole Calhoun will undergo surgery to repair a bilateral core muscle injury on Tuesday.
He is only expected to need six-to-eight weeks of rest after the surgery, and should be fully healed up well before 2017 spring training.
Calhoun slashed .271/.348/.438 with a .340 wOBA through 672 plate appearances this season.
