Nationals going with Joe Ross in potential Game 4 clincher
Washington Nationals pitcher Joe Ross will start Game 4 of the National League Divisional Series on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The official decision was also the expected one. Alternative option Reynaldo Lopez will serve out of the bullpen. Ross will look to help the Nationals avoid a do-or-die Game 5 by eliminating the Dodgers on Tuesday night.
Ross last pitched on September 29, but twirled a 2.79 ERA in his last three starts of the regular season after returning from a shoulder injury. For the season, he recorded a 3.43 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 20.8 strikeout percentage across 105 total innings.
