Nationals' Daniel Murphy goes 3-for-3 in Game 2 win

Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy went 3-for-3 and drove home a pair of runs on Sunday, helping to lead the Nationals to a victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the NLDS.

What It Means:

Murphy's fifth inning RBI single made the score 4-2 and it knocked Rich Hill out of the game. He added on an insurance RBI single later on in the seventh and he reached base in all four of his at bats in the Nats' win.

The 31-year-old Murphy posted career-highs across the board with a .347/.390/.595 slash, .408 wOBA and .249 ISO in 582 plate appearances. His 25 home runs and 104 RBI's are also the most he's put up in a season.
