Cubs' Kyle Hendricks says his forearm is 'fine'
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks (forearm) said he feels "fine."
The major league ERA leader was forced from the game in the second inning after taking a line drive off his pitching arm. The Cubs are calling him day-to-day and it looks like he might be fine for his next start if the Cubs end up advancing to the NLCS.
Hendricks had a Cy Young-level season, posting a 2.13 ERA and 3.59 xFIP over 190 innings this season. His 3.70 SIERA is actually worse than what he posted last year in that department, but it was still good enough to rank him among the top 20 starting pitchers in the league.
