Justin Turner smashes two-run homer in Dodgers' victory

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner clubbed a two-run homer off of Max Scherzer on Friday, powering the Dodgers to a 4-3 victory over the Washington Nationals in Game 1 of the NLDS.

What It Means:

Turner's homer gave the Dodgers a 4-0 lead in the third inning and it would end up being the deciding two runs as the Nationals rallied for three runs in the next two innings. Turner also knocked a singled and was hit by a pitch in the game, finishing 2-for-3 on the evening.

Turner posted a fine regular season, with a .359 wOBA and a .275/.339/.493 slash line over 622 appearances at the plate. He added 27 homers and 90 RBI's in 2016.
