Rangers going with Nomar Mazara over Shin-Soo Choo in Game 2 of ALDS

Texas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara is starting in right field and batting ninth in Friday's American League Divisional Series Game 2 versus the Toronto Blue Jays.

What It Means:

Shin-Soo Choo got the start in Game 1, but after going 0-for-3 (he did have the Rangers' only RBI), Mazara is taking over on Friday as Texas tries to even things up with Toronto. Ryan Rua will also replace Mitch Moreland at first against Blue Jays southpaw J.A. Happ.

The 21-year-old Mazara slashed .266/.320/.419 across 568 plate appearances during his first year in the bigs. Of the eight postseason participants, numberFire gives the Rangers the lowest odds of winning the World Series (3.6 percent).
