Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis had a home run and two RBI's on 3-for-4 hitting Thursday as the Cleveland picked up a 5-4 win over the Boston Red Sox in Game 1 of the ALDS.
Cleveland knocked Rick Porcello around right from the start, and Kipnis was one of three players to go yard in the first inning. His fifth-inning RBI later proved to be the deciding run of the night.
Kipnis is coming off of a strong regular season in which he posted a .275/.343/.469 slash with a .347 wOBA and .193 ISO through 688 plate appearances.
