Jose Bautista rockets one, plates four as Blue Jays take early ALDS lead
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista went 2-for-4 with a tater, four RBI's, a walk and two runs scored in Thursday’s Game 1 win over the Texas Rangers.
Bautista's three-run ninth-inning blast was the highlight of his day, and he also had an RBI single in the third frame. The 35-year-old slugger's six career postseason home runs tie him with Joe Carter for most in club history.
Bautista's 19.9 strikeout percentage during the regular season was his highest clip since 2009, but he was still good for a .234/.366/.452 slash and .355 wOBA in 517 plate appearances.
