Jon Niese tosses seven solid frames in Mets win
Jon Niese improved to 6-9 tonight after going seven strong innings yielding just one earned run off of four hits while striking out six. The Mets are now riding a five-game winning streak and sit atop the NL East.
What It Means:
Niese is now 6-9 on the year with a 3.51 ERA and a 4.09 FIP and a 6.03 K/9 ratio. He's projected to finish the season with 3.82 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 119 strikeouts.
