Pedro Severino starting behind the plate for Nationals Friday in first game of NLDS
Washington Nationals catcher Pedro Severino will start in Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series on Friday.
What It Means:
The 23-year-old catcher will get the call for the Nationals as Wilson Ramos (knee) and Jose Lobaton (ankle) are unavailable. Severino saw just 34 plate appearances this season, but did put up an excellent .321/.441/.607 slash with a .444 wOBA.
