Mets' Jeurys Familia allows game-winning home run in ninth inning

New York Mets closer Jeurys Familia conceded a three-run home run in the ninth inning, which proved to be the decisive blow as the Mets lost 3-0 against the San Francisco Giants in the National League Wild Card Game.

What It Means:

Familia came in at the start of the ninth inning, and struggled immediately, allowing a double to Brandon Crawford, scoring one strikeout, then walking Angel Pagan before allowing Conor Gillaspie to go yard.

It was an unfortunate end to the season for Familia, who tallied 51 saves this season, while posting a 2.55 ERA and 3.05 SIERA through 77 2/3 innings pitched.
