Ichiro Suzuki playing for Marlins again in 2017
The Miami Marlins exercised their 2017 club option on soon-to-be 43-year-old outfielder Ichiro Suzuki.
Suzuki is due another $2 million in 2017, and the Marlins also tacked on an option for 2018, so he's still got plenty of baseball left in him. He reached the 3,000-hit mark and will now look to add to his 3,030 career-total.
The veteran outfielder slashed .291/.354/.376 with one home run, 22 RBI's and 10 steals in 365 plate appearances this season.
