Lucas Duda unavailable for Wild Card game as Mets prepare for Giants
New York Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is not on the roster for Wednesday's National League Wild Card game against the San Francisco Giants.
James Loney is expected to man first for the Mets on Wednesday as Duda apparently remains below 100 percent. Josh Edgin will start over Josh Smoker as the second left-hander while Bartolo Colon and Robert Gsellman provide their services out of the bullpen. Seth Lugo will be supporting the troops from afar.
In his age-30 season, Duda slashed just .229/.302/.412 with a .304 wOBA across 172 plate appearances. He's added 7 home runs, 23 RBI's and a .200 ISO.
