Giants without Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) for Wild Card bid
San Francisco Giants third baseman Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) is not on the roster for the National League Wild Card Game on Wednesday as the Giants take on the New York Mets.
Nunez strained his right hamstring in late September, and he was already considered doubtful for Wednesday, so it comes as no real surprise that he won't be on the roster. Expect Conor Gillaspie to fill in at third base.
Nunez slashed .288/.325/.432 through 595 plate appearances for both the Giants and Minnesota Twins in the regular season, with a .323 wOBA and .145 ISO. He added 16 home runs and 67 RBI's with 40 stolen bases.
