Red Sox to start Clay Buchholz for Game 3 of the ALDS
Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz will start Sunday's Game 3 of the ALDS against the Cleveland Indians.
Buchholz bounced back and forth between the starting rotation and the bullpen this year, but he will get the nod against Josh Tomlin and the Indians on Sunday.
Buchholz has had a rough year, with a 4.78 and a career-worst 5.09 SIERA through 37 games (193 1/3 innings) in the regular season. His 15.8 percent strikeout rate was also a career worst, while his 9.4 percent walk rate was above his career average.
