Orioles name Chris Tillman starter for Wild Card Game
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Chris Tillman has been named the starter for Tuesday night's Wild Card Game.
The game will be played at Toronto's Rogers Centre, where Tillman has struggled mightily throughout his career, compiling a 7.01 ERA across 13 starts (2-6 record). Last season, the right-hander was 0-4 with an 11.72 ERA during four starts against Toronto. However, this season has been a different narrative, as Tillman has a 3.63 ERA versus the Jays, including a stifling 2.38 ERA in his two starts at Rogers Centre.
For the season, the 28-year-old Tillman twirled a 16-6 record across 172 innings. He finished with a 3.77 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 19.6 strikeout percentage.
