Atlanta Braves pitcher Julio Teheran struck out 12 Detroit Tigers batters while spinning seven shutout innings in a 1-0 Braves' win on Sunday.
Teheran ended the season with a bang, matching his career-high mark for strikeouts in a game, while this was also his fourth time this season pitching seven-plus shutout innings.
Teheran finishes the season with a strong 3.21 ERA despite a slightly less encouraging 3.93 SIERA. His 22.0 percent strikeout rate and 5.4 percent walk rate were both career-bests.
