Eric Hosmer out Sunday for Royals
Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer is not in the Royals' lineup for the second straight day Sunday due to a wrist issue.
Kendrys Morales is at first base and batting third on Sunday with Hosmer out. The team says the injury is not considered serious, but with Kansas City out of playoff contention there is no sense in pushing their first baseman.
Hosmer will finish his regular season slashing .266/.328/.433 with a .326 wOBA across 667 plate appearances. He has hit a career-high 25 homers and posted 104 RBI's on the year, but his strikeout rate climbed to a career-worst 19.8 percent.
