Orioles' Mark Trumbo hits 47th homer on Friday
Baltimore Orioles left fielder Mark Trumbo smashed his major league-leading 47th homer in Friday’s win over the New York Yankees.
Trumbo has become one of the offseason's best signings and the Orioles are knocking on the door of the playoffs in part because of Trumbo's big bat. Trumbo is barely batting over the Mendoza line in the second half, but he has also hit 19 home runs during that time as well.
Trumbo is slashing .251/.313/.531 with a .355 wOBA over 659 plate appearances. Along with his 47 homers he has driven in 108 runs and scored 92 more runs as well this season.
