Corey Kluber (quad) plays catch on Friday for Indians
Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (quad) played catch from up to 150 feet on Friday.
Kluber felt fine after testing out his quad strain. This is a step in the right direction towards his return to the mound, which remains without a timetable. The 30-year-old right-hander is expected to be ready for the American League Divisional Series next week.
While it is his worst mark since 2012, Kluber's 3.50 SIERA on the year is still solid, and he also has a 26.4 percent strikeout rate through 32 starts (215 innings).
