Joey Votto leaves game for Reds after getting hit in face
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto made an early exit on Thursday after getting hit in the face by an errant throw as he was running the bases.
Votto said that he was fine after the game, but he was bleeding pretty heavily and the incident forced him to leave the game in the eighth inning.
Votto is slashing .324/.435/.545 with 92 RBI's and 99 runs to go with his 28 dingers this season. His .412 wOBA on the year ranks him third among all qualified hitters.
