Daniel Norris expected to pitch Friday after Tigers, Indians game postponed
Detroit Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris will likely have his scheduled start pushed back to Friday after Thursday night's matchup between the Tigers and Cleveland Indians was postponed due to rain.
If necessary, the game will be played on Monday, which could impact the Wild Card race. Expect Norris to toe the rubber on Friday while the Indians may opt to skip Ryan Merritt's trip to the mound.
Norris has strung together some career-best numbers this season with a 3.59 ERA, 4.01 SIERA, 22.9 percent strikeout rate and 7.3 percent walk rate. He holds a 3-2 record across 62 2/3 innings (12 starts).
