Diamondbacks scratch Yasmany Tomas due to stiff neck on Thursday
The Arizona Diamondbacks scratched right fielder Yasmany Tomas from Thursday's lineup with a stiff neck.
What It Means:
There is no word on how serious the injury is, but entering the final weekend of the regular season, even a minor injury could mark the end of the year for Tomas. Brandon Drury will start in left field while Socrates Brito bumps over to right in Tomas' absence.
Tomas has had a solid year from the dish, slashing .270/.312/.504 through 555 plate appearances. His .343 wOBA and .234 ISO are both improvements over his 2015 rookie numbers.
