Bryce Harper (thumb) remains out as Washington battles Diamondbacks
Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper (thumb) is once again out of the lineup on Thursday.
Harper has been out since Sunday, when he hurt his thumb sliding into third base. Monday's x-rays came back negative, and he is day-to-day. Michael Taylor will get the start in right field and bat seventh today.
Harper's hot start faded almost as quickly as it started earlier this season and now with the year almost over, he is slashing .244/.375/.444 with a .345 wOBA over 614 plate appearances. He has 24 homers and 85 RBI's while lowering his strikeout rate to a career-best 17.8 percent.
