John Jaso hits for the cycle as Pirates top Cubs
Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman John Jaso hit for the cycle -- with a single, a double, a triple and a homer on 4-for-4 hitting -- while driving in five RBI's as the Pirates topped the Chicago Cubs 8-4 on Wednesday.
The huge day snaps what has been a bit of a rough month for Jaso, who was only 9-for-40 from the dish in September going into last night's game.
It has been a down year from the dish for Jaso, who is slashing .267/.348/.407 through 420 plate appearances, with a .331 wOBA and .140 ISO that are both below his career averages.
