San Diego Padres starting pitcher Tyson Ross could need surgery to repair his injured right shoulder.
Ross was limited to just one start in 2016 (April 4) because of an ongoing shoulder injury that he has failed to find a remedy for, despite various efforts and multiple opinions of medical professionals.
The 29-year-old right-hander had a 3.07 ERA and 526 strikeouts in 516 2/3 innings between 2013-2015. He was coming off an impressive 2015 campaign, posting a 3.15 xFIP and a 25.8 strikeout percentage (11th-best) in 196 innings pitched.
