Indians benching squad after clinching American League Central
Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis, first baseman Mike Napoli, third baseman/right fielder Jose Ramirez and shortstop Francisco Lindor are all out of the starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Detroit Tigers.
The Indians clinched the American League Central on Monday night and are giving some of the guys the night off as a result. Tigers ace Justin Verlander makes for an excellent play in his second-to-last start of the regular season.
The Indians rank fifth in numberFire's MLB Team Power Rankings, but they have the third-best chances of winning the World Series (12.3 percent), based on our metrics.
