Martin Prado inks three-year extension with Marlins
The Miami Marlins and infielder Martin Prado have agreed on a three-year contract extension worth $40 million, according to Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.
Prado was in the final year of his contract, and this deal will keep him in Miami through 2019, when he will be 35-years-old.
Prado is having a solid year from the dish, slashing .305/.360/.415 with a .335 wOBA through 644 plate appearances. His 73 RBI's are the second-best mark of his career.
