Nick Castellanos (hand) could return this weekend for Tigers
Detroit Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos (hand) could return by the weekend, said manager Brad Ausmus on Monday.
Castellanos is scheduled to play in an instructional league game on Monday and looks to be near a return. He last played on August 6.
Castellanos is having a career year from the dish, slashing .286/.331/.500 with a career-high .350 wOBA and .214 ISO through 432 plate appearances. He recorded a .831 OPS with 18 home runs prior to the injury.
