Eduardo Rodriguez strikes out 13 as Red Sox win again

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez struck out a career-high 13 batters over 5 1/3 innings on Sunday as the Sox topped the Rays in extra innings.

What It Means:

Rodriguez pitched well, allowing just one run, but he had to settle for the no-decision in Sunday's 3-2 extra-innings win. Boston has now won 11 straight games and Rodriguez has been pitching great at the right time. He has a 2.03 ERA over his last eight starts.

E-Rod has a 4.68 ERA and an ugly 4.77 xFIP over 102 innings this season. However, he has been great lately and he has improved his strikeout rate to 20.9 percent on the season.
