Jayson Werth leads Nationals in division-clinching game

Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored as the Nationals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1 on Saturday.

What It Means:

With the Mets losing on Saturday, the Nationals clinched the NL East with their win. Washington has now one the NL East in three of the last five seasons and Werth has been there for all of them. He will continue to provide some nice pop in the two-hole for Washington in the playoffs.

Werth is slashing .249/.337/.422 with a .330 wOBA over 587 plate appearances for the Nats this season. He has 20 homers - his most since 2013 - to go along with 68 RBI's and 82 runs scored this season.
