Daniel Murphy out of Nationals' lineup again on Friday
Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy (leg) remained out of the Nationals' lineup Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Murphy has missed five straight games with soreness in his leg and there has been no word on a possible return. Stephen Drew will handle second base duties on Friday and bat sixth against Jameson Taillon.
The 31-year-old Murphy is enjoying career-highs across the board with a .348/.392/.598 slash, .410 wOBA and .250 ISO in 579 plate appearances. His 25 home runs and 104 RBI's are also the most he's put up in a season.
