Asdrubal Cabrera's walk-off homer powers Mets past Phillies
New York Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera blasted a three-run walk-off home run in the 11th inning on Thursday, lifting the Mets to a 9-8 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Cabrera stepped to the plate with 1 out and 2 on as the Mets trailed 6-8 in the 11th inning, and he saved the day, taking an Edubray Ramos offering yard to win the game.
Cabrera has had a solid year from the dish, slashing .281/.335/.480 through 531 plate appearances. His .346 wOBA is the second-highest mark of his career, and his best since 2009.
