Blake Snell tosses five scoreless in Rays' win over Yanks
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Blake Snell dealt five scoreless innings against the New York Yankees in a 2-0 win on Thursday.
It was the second scoreless start of Snell's rookie season, and was a nice breath of fresh air after he allowed 8 earned runs in 13 innings over his first 3 starts of September.
Snell has a rough 4.58 SIERA on the year, and he is sporting a 24.0 percent strikeout rate and 12.8 percent walk rate through 18 starts (86.1 innings) is a rookie.
