Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo held a meeting with right fielder Bryce Harper, trainer Paul Lessard and manager Dusty Baker to discuss Harper's right shoulder issues, per Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post.
The team has been strangely secretive about Harper's health. Reports have been emerging about his struggling with neck and shoulder pain (including a troubling quote that said Harper "could barely throw the ball 40 feet"), but the Nationals have been shooting down these reports.
It has been a rough year from the dish for Harper, with a career-low .242 batting average, as well as a .346 wOBA and .202 ISO that are both well below his career-averages.
