Stephen Piscotty not in action for Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty is not in the lineup Wednesday afternoon against the Colorado Rockies.
What It Means:
Piscotty has been struggling this month (.246/.301/.354 slash, 20 strikeouts across 74 plate appearances), so he's taking the day off. Jeremy Hazelbaker is starting in right field and hitting sixth Wednesday for St. Louis.
After slashing .305/.359/.494 (256 plate appearances) in last year's rookie campaign, Piscotty's numbers have fallen to .272/.343/.456 (608 plate appearances) in his sophomore season. He has tallied 21 home runs and 81 RBI's in 2016.
