Orioles' Steve Pearce (forearm) to go under the knife Wednesday
Baltimore Orioles infielder Steve Pearce will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair tendons in his right forearm.
The good news is that Pearce avoided ligament damage, so it won't be Tommy John surgery. He's expected to recover in time for spring training. The 33-year-old enters this winter as a free agent, but a strong 2016 campaign likely secured him plenty of bidders.
Pearce is slashing .288/.374/.492 with a .370 wOBA and .205 ISO across 302 plate appearances for both the Tampa Bay Rays and Orioles this season. He's recorded 13 home runs and 35 RBI's on the year.
