Giancarlo Stanton in as Marlins battle Nationals
Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is back in the starting lineup on Monday versus the Washington Nationals.
Stanton started in right field and logged five innings on Friday night, but was limited to pinch-hitting duties again over the rest of the weekend. Don't expect the slugger to be an everyday option this week as he recovers from a Grade 3 groin strain. On Monday, Stanton is batting fifth against Nationals right-hander A.J. Cole.
Stanton is slashing .242/.329/.490 with a .346 wOBA over 442 plate appearances this season. He has 25 dingers and 71 RBI's, but his 30.8 percent strikeout rate is his highest since his rookie season.
