Mets' Lucas Duda starting at first base on Sunday
New York Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is starting at first base and batting seventh for the Mets on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins.
It was originally thought that Duda would be limited to pinch hitting after he was activated Friday, but it looks like he is ready for the field. It is his first start since May 20th after being out nearly four months with a stress fracture in his back.
Duda's injury has limited him to only 145 plate appearances this season, where he has slashed .231./.297/.431 with a .309 wOBA. He has seven homers and 19 RBI's on the year and his .200 isolated power is just below his career average.
