Orioles place Steve Pearce on 60-day disabled list
The Baltimore Orioles placed infielder Steve Pearce on the 60-day disabled list, retroactive to September 13, with a right flexor mass strain.
Pearce has been trying to play through his arm injury, but after a setback last week, his season is officially over. He is entering free agency this winter, but after a solid year with both Tampa Bay and Baltimore, Pearce should easily find a new home this offseason.
Pearce is slashing .288/.374/.492 with a .370 wOBA and .205 ISO across 302 plate appearances for both the Tampa Bay Rays and Orioles this season. He's recorded 13 home runs and 35 RBI's on the year.
