Giancarlo Stanton not in Marlins' Sunday lineup
Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is once again not in the lineup Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Stanton returned to the Marlins' lineup on Friday for five innings but has not played in either of the two games since. There has been no word on whether he suffered a setback, but it could be this is part of the Marlins' plan to ease the slugger back into the lineup. For Sunday's game, Marcell Ozuna is in right field while Derek Dietrich is in left.
Stanton is slashing .243/.330/.491 with a .346 wOBA over 441 plate appearances this season. He has 25 dingers and 71 RBI's, but his strikeout rate of 30.6 percent is his highest since his rookie season.
