Astros to be without Alex Bregman (hamstring) through weekend
Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (hamstring) didn't fly with the club to Seattle, per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
Bregman could potentially be held out for longer than the weekend after straining his right hamstring on Wednesday. The Astros may provide an update on his status later Friday.
Bregman has flashed some promise through 212 plate appearances as a rookie, slashing .260/.311/.480 with a .335 wOBA on a 32.9 percent hard-hit rate.
