Tigers welcome Cameron Maybin (thumb) back versus Cleveland
Detroit Tigers outfielder Cameron Maybin (thumb) is back in the lineup Friday as the Tigers take on the Cleveland Indians.
What It Means:
Maybin has been hampered by an injury to his left thumb and he was forced to sit Thursday with more soreness. He'll likely need a couple more days off over the last couple weeks of the season, but will be active for this one. Maybin is starting in center and hitting second
Maybin is having a solid year from the dish, slashing .316/.383/.409 through 326 plate appearances, with a .358 wOBA that is his best since 2008, when he saw only 36 plate appearances.
