Diamondbacks to shut Rubby De La Rosa down for the year
Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Rubby De La Rosa will be shut down for the remainder of the season.
De La Rosa has made two appearances since being activated from the 60-day disabled list following a UCL sprain, but to avoid risking any future injury, he will not pitch again this season.
While De La Rosa only managed a 4.26 ERA through 13 games this season, his 3.87 SIERA and 24.3 percent strikeout rate were both career-bests.
