Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes will undergo an MRI on his right hand.
Wednesday's rehab game was supposed to be the final one before Gomes' return, following an AC joint separation that has held him out since July 17, but he took a pitch to the hand, and that will further delay his big league return.
Gomes was having a rough year before the injury, slashing .165/.198/.313 with a .219 wOBA through 262 plate appearances.
